Child protection training

A half-day participative workshop led by Deborah Wortman

Friday, 18th of April, 2008 from 10 am - 1 pm. Registration from 9:30

The workshop will cover

The workshop will be an introduction to child protection and will look at current legislation, definitions of abuse, signs and symptoms.

What happens if someone discloses in counselling, what are our responsibilities to the client in relation to safeguarding other vulnerable adults or children.

The workshop is suitable for

This workshop is suitable to those, who have had no child protection experience or who would like to refresh their knowledge in relation to the counselling role

Attending this workshop will give you a good understanding of abuse and our duty of care to our clients and others

Deborah Wortman

Deborah Wortman was a qualified social worker and manager in Social Services. She has over 20 years of experience of child protection work. She retrained as a psychotherapist seven years ago and has a thriving private practice in West Yorkshire. She still does child protection work and she is the Children’s Services Officer for Blackburn Rovers where she is responsible for child protection and child welfare at the Club

Workshop fee

£40.00. A £10.00 non-refundable deposit is required at application.
